Place North Arrow

Used to place a symbol that shows the project North direction.

Ribbon: Building Design > Drawing > Place Annotation > Coded Note > North Arrow

Tip: The size of the north arrow symbol is determined by the Annotation Scale setting in the Properties dialog, opened by using the Annotation Scale factors.

Setting	Description
Align N with Top View	This setting determines whether the north arrow N text places so that it is read in the same upright position regardless of the placement attitude (setting on) or whether the north arrow N text rotates and aligns with the axis of the north arrow symbol indicator (setting off). Turn the setting on to keep the N upright at all times; turn the setting off to rotate the N with the axis of the north arrow regardless of positional attitude.
